Any good comments about this place must be the management. The Preserve looks nice at first. The pond, carpet, overall appearance, but don't be fooled. They are not good at keeping tenants.
Maintence is often quite slow with repairs. The entire laundry room flooded once and I couldn't get to my clothes without stepping in a foot of water. It wasn't fixed or cleaned for a week. I also needed my toilet fixed and that wasn't addressed for two days. In the meantime I was left with using the bathroom in the laundry room, which by the way was disgusting.
Safety is at a minimum. The front door wasn't often broken or proped open. The parking lot was very dark and since the parking was so bad at night I had to walk far which was scary being a young woman. One of the maintnence guys was very creepy and always stared at me not saying anything. I really felt uncomfortable.
The management will tell you there is 6inches of concrete between floors, which may be so. But, somehow the neighbors above me complained every time I turned my TV on. I think the concrete make sound carry more. The cops even came to my door once at 6:00 in the morning when I was sleeping saying they had a noise complaint. I must have been snoring pretty loud!
The actual apartments are nice and clean, but there are many areas of the preserve that are very dirty. The elevators always smelled like pee. Probably because people had to wait so long they couldn't hold it any longer. They ask dog owners to clean up their dog's mess of course, but I would rather they cleaned up all the goose poo. It's impossible to walk without stepping in it. The garbage outside is frequently overflowing and I always saw holes in the hallways. It looked like a real dump most of the time. They always step it up though during high volume time for rentals like spring, but wait till winter.
There is soooo much more I could say, but I don't want to write an essay. I just don't want anyone to have to suffer the way I did. One more thing is they like to screw people out of money by having sly aggreaments in the 15 page lease document. They do not send you any time of lease renewal when your lease is up. Instead they hope you don't do anything and if you try to move out when your lease is up without signing a special notification 60 days prior then they will up your rent $200 a month until you do.
Take my advice look elsewhere. It's not a good deal or a good place. It's just not worth it
