Seems to me that there are several occasions where there have been law enforcement officials at Cress Creek and I don't know why. Recently there was approximately 6 officers in the 799 building and one officer would only say they were "investigating an inncident" Why are residents such as I unaware of what is going on Does anyone know why they were present' Am I the only one who feels that if we pay as much as we do in rent they should provide better security, do more thorough background checks on who lives here' There have been times of excess noise, weird smells ie. drugs, and loud occurances in the apartments and parking lots. I have lived in Naperville before near Bolingbrook for 13 years and have never encountered these situtaions. I like living here for its train convienance and the cost is better than other places in Naperville. I would just like to feel safe 100% of the time thats all. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

This is why I moved out a few months ago. Feeling safe at home is a valuable thing.
"Hoffman said police were called at 12:23 a.m. Thursday to break up a fight that erupted during a New Year's Eve party in a third-floor apartment at 799 Royal St. George Drive on the city's north side.
Police reports remained incomplete as of Friday evening, but Hoffman said the disturbance apparently began when the apartment tenant, Daniel R. Casas, 22, allegedly threw something at Anthony V. Freeman, 23, of Chicago's South Side. The two men then began scuffling.
The fight was allegedly joined by a relative of Casas, Jamie J. Casas, 21, of Batavia. Hoffman added that Freeman, "who was allegedly intoxicated and combative, ran at an officer in an aggressive and threatening manner" as police tried to quell the disturbance.
Freeman was the first to be booked at the police station on two counts of battery and one of assault, Hoffman said. Both Daniel and Jamie Casas were charged with two counts of battery, and Jamie Casas was also arrested on a traffic warrant out of Aurora, Hoffman said."
This place is cheap for a reason.

To the original poster; you are not alone. I felt really uncomfortable while living there. You never knew what the hallways/elevators or lobby was going to smell like. You never knew if you were in for a night of loud, rude, inconsiderate neighbors. You also could never properly pin point WHERE the noise was coming from due to the court yard (unless you were like me and had noisy neighbors across and next to you). I NEVER felt safe in the parking lot, even during the day. Mainly because people drove through the lot like it was a race track. At night...hope to GOD you have someone to walk you to your apartment.
I don't know what kind of background checks they do, but they need to step it up. Or maybe have a security person patrol the grounds Good luck with the remainder of your lease.

I am the orignal poster of the message and all I can really say is this place is ridiculous! For all we pay in rent we certainly should not have to deal with these incidences, and feel like we are living in an episode of COPS I have a lot of law enforcement connections in the NPD and they have told me to move which I am considering very seriously.

Six undercover NPD were on the 4th floor of 799 on January 22nd to serve an arrest warrent to of all people a teenager. Guns drawn, asking if any weapons or drugs were in the apartment. That same week on Monday the 19th I had to call police due to a very suspicious man, who was either drunk or drugged out stumbeling around and scared the crap out of me... it was 6:30 in the morning and this guy looked scary. I was freaked out that he was going to follow me to my apartment.

That's very good reasons on why I'm out of this hell hole shortly. The office staff doesn't know what they're doing, especially Ruby. She either doesn't write down work orders or double writes them. Laurie is no better at managing the place. I'm curious to see if I get any of my security deposit back, since I've been told not to shampoo my carpets or fill in nail holes. Rents are too high here and so are the electric bills. Why are we paying $4.30 on each water bill because they decided to go back to using AUM? That's alot of money they're making off of us.............. I can't get out of here fast enough.

Wow! Do you really think that naming the office staff is a good idea? What if they find out who you are and sue you for defamation of character? I mean, if they are as bad as you say they are, shouldn't you be more careful??
