I will tell you the ups and downs of The Grand Reserve of Naperville. Let's start on a positive. The apartments are very nice, new and clean. Now I will list the negatives:
1. If you are 6 days late on your rent they require a cashiers check.
2. If you are 10 days late on your rent they file eviction papers, charge $500 in attorney fees, charge $50 a day each day you are late and require you to pay in whole with a cashiers check.
3. If you cannot pay your rent, plus attorney fee's ($500), plus late fees ($50 a day) in a sheriff will show up at your door with a summons for court.
4. If you end up having to go to court, its set at about the 25th of the month (i.e 25 days past due). They will make you pay your rent, plus attorney fee's ($500), plus late fees ($50 a day), plus the next months rent within 14 days of your court date. You need to pay with a cashiers check, or you will be evicted. For example, If you were to wait till the 14th day from you court date to pay, it usually comes out around $4000.00 which includes 2 months rent and about $1000 in extra fees.
5. Every weekend the pool is full of drunk 20 somethings (I am a twenty something and still hate it) who bring glass bottles in the pool, their dogs to the pool, blare hardcore rap, throw chair in the pool, scream about all the guys they F***** over the weekend and have the most nasty foul mouths. This is so not appropriate for children. It's so bad my boyfriend stopped taking his kids to the pool.
6. They allowed ADT, a security company, to set up a remote location out of one of the apartments to use as an office. Which would be fine, if there wasn't 20 to 30 of them working out of a one bedroom apartment. They stay up all day and night outside talking on there cellphones and having meetings. When you put that many people outside talking together it sounds like a 24/7 party.
7. They wouldn??t allow me to get a 6 month lease but they allow ADT to get a 6 month lease and use it as an office. I get flyers that my car will be towed if I park on the side of the street by my house but they allow ADT to park there all day long with 2 - 6 cars at a time. It appears to me they make special exceptions for people if you pay them enough.
8. There has been construction non-stop here, well we did get a break in the wintertime. But when it is going on, which very often is for long periods of time, It's like living on I88 while in construction. I will say the apartments do look better on the outside but now I have holes in my wall and my windows falling out, which has never been fixed.
9. They train the crap out of these girls in the office to sell, sell, sell and there good. I wish they we??re working for me. The problem I have is they told someone I knew, who was inquiring about an apartment, to have my boyfriend (who also has an apartment here) co-sign for them so they could get a place. I found that completely inappropriate.
That??s pretty much it. It??s your decision. I??ve lived here 2 years and I??m finally moving out.

Unfortunately, all apartment communities have to process evictions if people do not pay their rent. The only reason you are upset, is because you went 1 1/2 months without paying. No one, in any business would allow that to happen. That is why you are upset. Fortunately, it is good to know that the management takes immediate action against people who do not pay. I have lived here over 3 years and I am glad that they have done all the work. The place looks great. If you have a problem with the interior, call them, they will fix it. I know that from experience. |

I can't believe someone complained about what happens when you pay your rent 10 days late. Welcome to the real world. DERRRRRRRR |
