Without bias - just the facts. The Village Green Management company openly violates Illinois State Law:

765 ILCS 715 Security Deposit Interest Act - I lived there six years and never received a deposit interest payment. The management was goofy enough to send me a letter admitting they don't pay it - it's so small. I have a signed letter admitting they willfully violate state law.

765 ILCS 735 Rental Property Utility Service Act - It is illegal for them to hold a monopoly on a utility service, such as water, and profit from it. Total bills to the resident CANNOT exceed the amount they pay for the water.

765 ILCS 740 Tenant Utility Payment Disclosure Act - They cannot demand payment for shared utilities unless they disclose the formula used and provide copies of the Master Water bill upon request. I tried. They refuse. The water bills are fake.

765 ILCS 720 Retaliatory Eviction Act - I complained about the above illegal activities to the Management Company and the State's Attorneys Office - they refused to renew my lease.

The first memo Village Green put out to the residents, when they took over, was "no pool toys of any kind". After living here for 4yrs, my daughter was devastated.

Since I've been here, there have been 2 times when pipes burst in my ceiling and water was pouring into my apartment. Huge hole were ripped in the ceiling to find the leaks. They fixed it eventually. No compensation for damages to my personal belongings. I recently read a review on here about a class action lawsuit for pipes bursting - I was I would have known then.

They posted a lease violation on my door, threatening to evict me for "having" a charcoal grill - not for using it, and not in any violation of local fire codes - with a direct page/line reference to a passage that essentially reads that they reserve the right to change rules as they deem fit. Ironic, as staff that live on the property charcoal grill on their patios frequently.

It "was" a nice place to live 5 years ago. Too bad Village Green Management destroys the experience.

Wow, you sound like a crazy person. I'm sure they print up fake water bills. HA HA HA
