I originally wrote a different review, but that was when I had only been here for four months.

The complex is absolutely horrible. I've lived here for two years and while the first year wasn't that bad, this last year has been absolutely awful.

I've had problems with the unit, which can be classified as normal wear and tear. Our air conditioner thermostat broke over the summer, and when we asked Waterford Greens to replace it, they tried to tell us that it was working properly. Then, when we provided documentation from the manufacturer showing that it was actually broken, they tried to charge us for installing a new thermostat! In the meantime, we had to suffer from a $200 electric bill because the air conditioner would never shut off, unless we did it manually.

Our dryer wasn't working properly and we had to run it three times (270 minutes) in order to get a SMALL load of clothes to dry. After months (6 months) of complaining, they finally cleaned out the ducts and informed us that it was full of bird's nests. It's apparent that they don't do routine maintenance or install bird screens, because 2 months later, the birds are back and our dryer isn't working properly again.

We have an ice dam on our roof from the winter conditions. Water has been pouring inside our apartment from the master bedroom window, flooding the window area and the carpeting under the window. We've been told that they won't make any repairs until spring and that we have to just live with the situation until then.

We've contacted Code Enforcement several times, because of all the problems we've had. That seems to be the only way to get them to make obligatory repairs on our unit.

They've already informed us that they're planning on raising our rent astronomically as soon as our lease is up, because we complain about these problems.

I would avoid this place at all costs. The construction is shoddy, routine maintenance is not performed, the apartments are in horrible condition, and they illegally try to charge you for any repairs that they are required by law to make.
