I saw the below post about a nightmare with Waterford Greens
Apartments and I'm facing the same situation!
I moved out at the end of July. Early September I called Waterford asking about the status of my security deposit. I was informed I was not getting my security deposit back. So, I asked to leave a message for Judy (office manager) to call me back. Judy never called and I ended up calling a few times. Finally, I spoke with Judy. She stated that the charges were over $600! I said ok. Can you please send me an itemized copy of work, pictures, and receipts' Also, please note that I still live in Naperville; all my mail has been forward to my new address and I have the same phone number.
No one called or sent documentation about the "repair" for my apartment. Then the other day I received I letter in the mail from a collection agency on behalf of Waterford Greens
Apartments! They are trying to collect an additional $300.
I don't know what to do, does anyone know a good lawyer' Please stay away from Waterford Greens Apartments. They are crooks and steal peoples money.
Not to mention the apartment living is awful, loud, dirty, and unfriendly. The pool area is a joke. It is so dirty and the hot tub is always broken. The workout room equipment is broken and never fixed. Staff - both office and maintenance are unprofessional and rude.
PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!

file a complaint with the bbb.org and the il attorney general office. also find a lawyer that will work pro bono. waterford greens have deep pockets and i am sure some lawyer will want to file a class action suit with all the formal tenants complainting on here. email: iown310@yahoo.com

If they have not provided documentation, you can sue for your deposit. Illinois law is on your side in this.
