My kids and I moved here in August of 2008 and we noticed 2 windows were broken. The window in my boy s room had a crack all the way through it and the window in the living room is falling out of the wall. I immediately contacted the apartments and they said they are replacing all the windows. It is now January 2009 and on 1/17/09 the living room window fell out of the wall with my 7 year old son standing less than 5 feet from the window. When I contacted the office about this matter Eric (manager) could care less about the situation he had absolute no concern for the safety of my family. All I wanted was for Eric to look at the situation but he said he could not leave because he had people in the office. According to the Illinois Attorney General the apartments are to maintain the buildings fit to live in. When it is -20 degrees outside and there is cold air blowing through the broken window that means these apartments are unfit to live in. I also know other tenants are having the same issues with their apartments as well as the staff in the office. It is not only the windows that are broken the cabinets are all falling apart as well. These apartments are way over priced for the amount of problems they have. I would rate maintenance 5 stars. They really care it s the maintenance manager that will not approve the upkeep of these units.
