Wanting to get out of my parents house as soon as I could to be on my own, my friends and I settled on the first place that we liked, a four bed four bath at college station. Many things in our apartment have broken and the maintenance is young and not very friendly (or quick) about fixing things. The brochure advertises free high-speed internet and satellite TV, but the cost is reflected in the rent. Not to mention the internet ONLY works well when the weather is perfect. The internet is provided by a very unreliable company who is never helpful when there is a problem. The ventilation in the apartment is not the greatest at all; while one bedroom feels like a sauna, another feels like a freezer. There is absolutely NO storage other than the closet in each bedroom, we end up storing what we can on top of the dryer or taking it home to our parents houses to store. The rent price of $450 a month each sounds good to begin with, but when you realize that you're paying $1800 a month for a small apartment it doesn't sound so good anymore.
