I have read some of the reviews on here but have differing feelings. I have lived with First Site for 2 years and will be graduating in May 09. I live at the Oaks and love my apartment and the community here. I feel safe and have had no issues with First Site. I had an issue with my window that wasn't shutting right but maintenance came out that day. So to this point I haven't had any issues. We will see at move-out like others have commented.

I also have rented from them for two years, and will be graduating in May. I had the same problem with the window. They came the day I called, and got the window to at least shut, as it would not and actually fell out and onto the ground due to cheap hinges. The maintenance guy was joking that First Site only buys cheap hinges. He couldn't completely fix it because he had to order a new hinge. We called multiple times in the next several weeks and the hinge "had not arrived." They never came to fix it, and it is still broken, although it is shut. When Spring comes however, unless they come fix the hinge, we will not be able to open the window, and if we try, it will fall out again. So, really nothing got fixed and I guess they order hinges from a slow boat from across the world because it is hard to believe that after many many weeks when we called again that the hinge was not yet in. So, the First Site maintenance seems to be hit or miss. Usually they do come right away, in fact they always have for us. The only problem is with follow-up if they need to come back.
