Lancaster Heights is not a place to adequately raise children. The children have no advantages, other children from different areas come to Lancaster to play and harass the "residence - children. The manager is not the brightest light bulb when dealing with tenants or lease questions. Apartment histories are not reviewed and answered within a timely manner. The Maint. personnel is cause for safety concerns regarding his ability to have access to all apartments. The apartments are definitely not worth the price. Also, if you are put on Section 8 - they charge you for the townhouse rates (3 bedroom) when you are in a two bedroom apartment. This way Lancaster can get all the money they want and still charge you whatever they feel they can get away with at that time. As for the lease.. previous ratings stated that the lease is illegal. Just have Section 8 review the lease. Section 8 is having to review all leasing just for this reason and the favortism to put some tenants in apartments just to please them (cliche). This is due to the over-charging for apartments. There is also a very huge conflict of interest, with employees living on the property. Their families can do whatever and nothing can be done. Also, you cannot complain about the maint, workmanship, etc. due to the fact that the Apartment Manager is dating the Maint. personnel.. Conflict of interest... yes indeed. when you request information, the office personnel is clueless and the manager never returns calls.. unless you have made a disturbance... The only good thing from Lancaster is the tenants, besides the office staff that lives there, tenants are friendly and watch out for each other's children, property, etc. As for the staff.. you're on your own...

This is extremely unprofessional and immature. As an aspiring property owner I am completely appalled by the ignorant, rude responses.

If you can find an apartment complex where maintenance does not have key access to every room, you should be concerned. 'Renting' means that you DO NOT OWN the room in which you reside. You pay in order to use it, you do not own it. How can their be favoritism when the office staffs own children are sent home from the playground because they did not have their recreation passes. Verify this either with the office staff or security. You will also find that in complexes where the leasing agents do not live within the complex, there are much greater problems.

there are some issues you're always going to have in an apartment community. the only problem i have ever had in the three years i've been here is the unsupervised children playing in the parking lots. how is the office staff suppose to fix that when the parents are the problem? and it's only a handful of kids. maintenance acts quickly and i know nothing about a 200 a month rent jump.
