Decent place to live

This review is about the College Park apartments (on N. Cottage)
I am moving out in a couple of months when my lease expires, but I am satisfied with my experience with SAMI. While the apartment is not perfect, it has been a pretty good deal.
The good:
-Maintenance comes quickly if you have something that needs fixed
-Employees at SAMI are very nice and easy to deal with
-Utilities are included with the rent (if you go over a certain amount of electric usage you have to pay the difference, but I have not experienced this in my year and a half here. As long as you aren't leaving the AC or heater running 24 hours a day it should not be a problem)
-Parking is good, especially compared to other complexes I've seen
-Furnished apartments, which is nice if you do not have your own furniture.
The bad:
-Rent is being raised $100 beginning in the fall. I know they have to charge a bit more to make up for higher electricity costs, but a $100 raise is excessive.
-Apartments are pretty small (for 1 bedroom, at least)
-Furnished couch/bed are ugly and uncomfortable
-The internet is TERRIBLE. It is wireless and very slow/unreliable. It slows to a crawl during the afternoon and evening (pretty much dialup speed), and the internet goes down quite frequently. In addition, ConnectivityU monitors your usage and if you go over an unspecified amount of downloads/uploads, your connection is either slowed down drastically or shut off until you call them. I am not a heavy downloader and I've still had to call to get my service turned back on twice. You might want to consider getting your own internet service.
-SAMI shows your apartment with only a few minutes notice; yes, it is in the lease but it would be nice to have at least a day's notice so you can straighten everything up
Everything considered, I would recommend SAMI. The apartment has flaws, but they are minor ones and do not keep the apartment from being a good deal.
