DO NOT live here if you are going to med school at Rosalind Franklin!!! The apartments are backed up to the ghetto--North Chicago has the highest crime rate in Illinois and is probably in the top 10 for the entire U.S. I'm scared for my life any time I'm forced to walk outside at night. The Woodlands was obviously cheap when it built this place. The walls are super thin and can even hear my neighbors' conversation. It's not unusual either to hear a fart through the walls. The front office obviously doesn't like the job as she treats the residents as if they were a burden. The new owners attempted to convert the apartments to condos but failed miserably since no one wants a "North Chicago" address or risk their life every day. So they turned the Woodlands back in to apartments and probably screwed a number of people.

Live here if you enjoy the ghetto life or get a kick out of hearing your neighbor's fart. If you don't, definitely find another place to live....You DO NOT want to live here.

This place totally sucks.I am a physician .There is total disrespect by management.The black lady thinks that she owns the world.The time taken to act on complaint is 50 to 70 days eg if your refrigrator stops working or window glass is broken.There are 2 washers for 40 apartments in building .There is no place for attatching your own in most apartments.The floor plan leaves no place for dining room in most apartemnts.The mexican staff working there is gang members mostly. Belive me choose the student housing or go to any other like near the abbot labs which are much better. Thanks

This is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. I am a student and I have lived in Woodlands. It is one of the good places to live in if you work in n.chicago or nearby areas like gurnee, waukegan etc. And btw, please define ghetto. Woodlands is NOT a ghetto. It is a well maintained and clean apt. complex with responsible owners. I don't understand why people choose to make such irresponsible and racist comments. For your information, the -------- who work there are not "gang members" but very hard working individuals who have always responded to all requests in a timely and polite manner. To anyone who is considering Woodlands, I would say go there and walk around the place and then make up your mind. Talk to the people who live there. It is a very friendly population of students and professionals. And btw, the dorms at RFUMS SUCK majorly. They're like jail cells and expensive.
