I have lived at Prairie Court (now Archstone apts) for 4 yrs while attending Loyola Medical School. Initially, I had a 2 BR and then moved to a 1 BR on my own. I have only good things to say about Archstone. I can also confirm that 6 other people from my school have lived here and feel similarly. The management is absolutely wonderful. If you need maintenance for something, they come so quickly. I basically haven't had any issues, except maybe a little noise irritation in the spring when the windows are open before the AC gets turned on. However, this would probably occur in any courtyard complex because of the design. Other than that, this place is awesome, though expensive. The indoor heated parking is also pricey but soooooo nice in the winter. Safety is not an issue. There's a great fire alarm system. There's a workout facility. Your neighbors are friendly and of diverse ages. I loved this place and am sorry to be moving. If you can afford it, I think you get what you pay for.
