We've lived here for three years, and we fell in love the exterior, and the convenient location, but since the managment switch about a year ago, the new staff is very difficult to deal with. The building is run down, and the heating/cooling system offers no individual control. Management barges in without any notice, to try to show apartments. Leasing office is left unstaffed for hours at a time. We often see people trying to view apartments trapped in the front unable to get in b/c no one is in the leasing office. This morning a police man could not get in and was calling random apartments. The Gym equipment has been broken for three years (no plans to fix any of it) and the gym room used to be storage space so there is no ventilation so its always 80 degrees. When we talked to management about people smoking in the garage, they asked us what we wanted them to do about it. Rude, unhelpful, and grouchy is how I would describe the manager, who I've had to address about her behavior. Archstone dumped the complex about a year ago, and now the City of Oak Park has taken over. With many more options available in the area for rent equally convenient and pretty, choose elsewhere, and get your money's worth.

WOW! This is freaking me out. I toured this place at least three times and thought it was great. I can't handle them contoling the heat and air. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I've been looking around and there are places cheaper, bigger and with less headaches.
