Not Worth the Rent

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
A close relative has lived in the building since 2006, and I have also lived there for approximately a year with her. Over the last 4 years there have been at least 6 different people in the rental office. You can't simply come in to pay rent or ask a question without being stuck in the office talking to them for at least 10 minutes. The newest property manager dresses unprofessionally, and has made several unsuccessful attempts at writing memos to tenants regarding new policies.
There are 2 maitenance men: 1 lives in the building (rent free) with his wife and kids and the other doesn't. I see the maitenance man who lives in the building coming and going with his wife and elderly relatives than I see him around the building actually working. The older maitenance man who doesn't live in the building is the only one I see working, and it's impossible to get a maitenance-related issue fixed in your apartment within 2 weeks.
If you're thinking about moving in think again. The rent is expensive but if you have the money to spend, I think you deserve better amenities and service. Hopefully my relative will see the light as well.
Good luck!!
