Who writes a review for a place they lived in 4 years ago' I rented from the new owner last year and the place just gets better and better every month. The other reviews talk about bad wiring. The building was rewired within the past 2 years I was told and I have no problems with electricity. In fact, the new owner provides a/c for anyone that wants it FREE!
The location in Oak Park is absolutely ideal. The parking in Oak Park is and always was a hassle, but a manageable one. There is a new fitness club nearby which is first class (Fitness Formula). There is a new library nearby. There are 3 trains within walking distance. There are over a dozen restaurants within a few blocks!
Don't believe everything you read on a site like this, the phone number isn't even right. Usually disgruntled people need to air their feelings and when I saw the unfair comments made here I had to respond.
The correct phone number is 708 848 2911

Your message is so fake, and rigged, why should you even care about telling people to ignore other people's comments if you were being objective. Have you even lived there long enough in the summer? Have you heard the sound of their pipes? Just because your AC doesn't go off doesn't mean it doesn't go off, every person I talked to in the building has talked about it going off, and their fuse going off. Not a single person I talked to said other wise. The oak park area is nice, but this is one of the worst buildings. It LOOKS ok, and the location is good, but the actual building needs to be redone. How can you say its get "better" and "better" each month. Their elevator is the oldest thing I've seen in oak park, you actually have to open it yourself. They dont' have garabage chutes, you HAVE to walk to the back alley. The kitchens are cramped, the things are broken no matter how often you get their people into fix it. The piping and hot water is on offish and hard to control. Their fixtures, kitchen, appliance, washroom sinks are all OLD. The owner is plain cheap and is not willing to face the truth of it. Weak comments like yours just sound so fabricated. The owner is greedy and just wants to make every dollar of it. Even when confronted they are not only non chalant but cocky, with a lack of respect. Me and other tenants have held back to not cause a fuss, and even here. It not going to be a suprise if at some point this get reported to Oak Park housing.

I only lived there for so many years because I could not afford to move after I gave these jerks my money. Sorry I am not a yuppie that thinks that antiquated living conditions are so "retro-cool". Gimmie a break. Let the Chicago summer continue- you will have sweat dripping down your face when the electricity goes out in the middle of that 90 degree night- and you will soon recant your b.s. review.
