Can't complain

After a long search for a place to live, we decide that Bourbon Square met all of our needs. I am not sure why there are so many venomous reports. The only complaint that I can think of is the lack of lighting fixtures on the bedroom ceiling fans and the lack of a dimmer switch on the dinning room light fixture.
When we moved in, the apartment was VERY clean with new cabinets and realativley new appliances. FAR FAR better than Village Park of Carol Stream.
The building is VERY quiet. Parking isn't bad. The property seems to be kept up. The staff seems nice enough. All of our maintenance issued have been fielded in a timley manner with no charge, as some have stated (I would look into the legalitys of that).
This is our second Equity apartment. We have been fairly satisfied with them. I have no ties to the company.
I would really have to question those who are so negativly polarized in their reviews. Some people can't be pleased.
I would highly recommend this complex to anyone.

Im glad your happy, but you have not been here long enough to have an opinion. Wait till your air conditioner does not work every year you first turn it on for 4 years in a row; or you have someone spill milk in the hallway and no one comes to clean it after 3 calls and in the summer heat it begins to smell; or when your 20 something neighbor plays his stereo too loud and you cant sleep at night because the ceilings are too thin and all the mgmt does is write them a letter, 10 times and they are still there with their loud stereo; or when you tell them your dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes and they come after 4 calls, run only the rinse cycle and report it is fine and wont come back out cause they insist there is nothing wrong with dirty dishes; or when you need to speak to the manager because no one else in the office can make a decision and she is "unavailable" for a week! Lets see if your still singing the praises of the staff and the building and the neighborhood when you have been here awhile.

Wow yeahright100... that sounds like a nightmare. I never had that many things break so I didn't experience that. If I had I would have been beyond pissed and they would have really hated me. I don't play around. It sounds like they probably don't like a lot of their residents though huh? How unprofessional. For what they charge and lead you to believe in the beginning, they should be trying a lot harder.

This is in response to "yeahright100" above... Why don't you move out? If you are that dissatisfied, why do you keep donating your rent? Apparently you have been there for at least 4 years (as stated above), so there has to be something keeping you there. You have one half of the argument stated, but where's the other? Anything good? If not, you are only making yourself miserable. Why not call the cops on the 20-something year old? How dirty are your dishes? If there's food caked on, a dishwasher doesn't clean them... It sounds like you are only ranting and to be quite honest, the only good point you're making is about the spilled milk... I'm actually moving here in a couple of weeks and you know what? I've seen a LOT worse than your response. |
