The reason you have not seen change is because they do not want to spend money on the renters when they are putting all of their money into converting the apts into condos. Have you seen the billboard that shows the words "bourbon square" in a package that is just slightly torn open.It says "coming soon!" You would think that they would have the decency to tell the renters that they are going condo before they post it on a billboard!!

Where did you hear Bourbon Square is going condo? I have not heard this. There is a new management company, but no talk of conversion.

My husband and I live at Bourbon Square and have been searching for info on this. We did find a PDF online (deep search) that mentions the new owner's plans to go condo. Here is a quote from it, "HFF closes sale of suburban Chicago multifamily community in exclusive listing
CHICAGO, IL ??? The Chicago office of HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, L.P.) has closed the sale of
Bourbon Square, a 612-unit multifamily community in Palatine, Illinois.
HFF exclusively represented the seller, Equity Residential with senior managing director Matthew
Lawton and directors Marty O???Connell, Sean Fogarty and Dave Nachison leading the HFF sales team. A
joint venture between Marquette Companies and Concert Realty Partners purchased the property for an
undisclosed amount on a cash basis. The new owners plan to convert the units to condominiums."
