i have rented 3 other apartments prior to this one, including 2 college apartments, which are known as dumps. but the service level and professionalism here was the worst i have ever seen. just a few examples:

we bought a laundry card so that we could do laundry downstairs, and put 10 dollars on it. but our laundry card would NEVER work. not in our machine or any others. and we talked to them about it at least 10 times to try and get our money back, but they never sent anyone to see what was wrong with the machine or anything. all they did was give us a number to call for the laundry machine company over and over again. they wouldn't even take the time to make sure that it was fixed or that the company knew about it. as a result, in 12 months of living there, we never once were able to do laundry there, we had to drive to the laundrymat, even though we had laundry machines in our building.
example 2
the maintenance was TERRIBLE here. we would submit a maintenance request and it would take AT LEAST 2 days for them to come, no matter what it was. we told them that we couldnt get heat in the back bedroom and when they finally came all they did was turn the heat way up, which affects my electric bill, so of course i was not happy. our microwave was from 1973 so of course if never worked, and even though we had a maintenance request every week for it they refused to just put a new one in. our garbage disposal would always cough up food in the sink and when they came to fix it they "found" marbles in the disposal. very interesting because there has never been any marbles in my house. and of course the garbage disposal broke the next week anyway, so it definitley wasn't the marbles. we also had 2 full bathrooms, and the bathtub in the guest bathroom would always just fill up with water out of the drain on its own. this was very strange considering that that shower was only used about 5 times in the entire year we lived there. and this is just a sample of the maintenance problems we had.
example 3
in every lease there is a part that says that you have to give notice (30 or 60 days) if you plan on leaving the apartment. but like i said before, i have lived in 3 other apartments, and in every single one the landlord sent us a letter towards the end of the lease asking us what we were going to do - re-sign or leave' but these people don't do that. they don't remind you or send you anything because they want you to forget about that 60 day notice, and then they charge you a months rent for not giving them notice. and then when i talked to michelle, the head person over there, she told me that by me not giving them notice i prevented them from being able to find someone to rent that apartment. like its my job to make sure that they can make money! i also asked her if this happens a lot and she said, "yes, we do get this situation." which means that they do this as much as possible. i'm not sure how you feel about that but that is shady business to me. and they are renovating the apartments into condos but nobody is buying them so they are gonna try everything they can to screw people out of their money. i'm sure if we were buying a condo they would've reminded us about the notice, huh'

i could go on for days but in summary, the management staff, namely michelle, was absolutely rude and didn't give a crap about their tenants. the only admirable person was terri, she actually tried her best, but because her boss was so unprofessional, she could only do so much. run far away from this property!!!
