I have read and reread the comments placed here and am truly amazed at the whining, complaining liars that use the internet to malinge and slander! I have lived here for years and have seen the constant improvements made since the new management company has taken over. I have managed offices and if it's anything like offices... you cannot do things overnight. You have budgets you must submit for the coming year and they have to meet with the approval of the owner of the company. Not a fast process. As far as the office and maintenance staff, I have not heard anything to co-oberate the slanderous accusations of either. I am always greeted with a smile and warm welcome whenever I enter the office area and the maintenance team is always quick and consciencous whenever they are needed. To anyone reading these comments you should go into the office and judge for yourselves. And try driving through the community and notice the newly re-done parking areas. I'm sure the whiners are probably being evicted for non-payment or else they've had complaints from their neighbors and are taking it out on the management. Grow up people! And by the way, ALL the parking lots were redone. I have friends from one end to the other and have traveled them many times. I wonder since when, I left mid April & it was still bad & I was there last month & it was still bad, so when did they repave.

I too lived there for quite some time, (8 years). I had my issues with management, maintenance, noisy neighbors and the like. I was a model renter as I paid on time every month and never complained unless warrented. I was there through several owners and the conversion and the fall through of the conversion. Let me tell you from MY experience, as soon as the previous management could no longer pay the bills and put the place on the market the entire complex was neglected. Then marquet bought the complex, they had intentions to convert it to condos from the first. Once the conversion fell through, (I have the inside track because of poor planning and money management), the improvements stopped, the caring for community stopped and attitude of the management changed. I had enough and moved. I bought a house. Since leaving, (still have my inside sources), I have heard Marquet can't pay their bills, (tax bill to be specific) and they have the community on the market. No money is available nor will it be spent on anything unecessary. Look, lets face it, this complex is a business, and the business of selling and renting. This is a horrible market to sell even a regular house, this complex is not going to sell for sometime and in the meantime Marquet can't pay the bills they have they are not going to do anything to create new ones. As far as the time I was there; at first was great. The last 3-4 years sucked. Most everything most people have noted here on this site is true! Safety is an issue, noise is an issue, maintenance is an issue, the condition of the apts and the appliances as well as the other items are an issue. Until someone comes in and buys the place with enough capital to really make a difference it will remain bad.

As I said originally, whiners. And as far as Marquet making their tax bills. Funny you should mention that since I work in the Palatine court system. I just called the tax office. They seem current. Again slander and again stupidity! And it truly amazes me that someone who NO LONGER lives here is so interested in the conditions and concerns pertaining to this community. It is ridiculous that the only reason people come on this site is to complain...From one property to the next it is people with nothing better to do than complain. Apparently there are no good apartment communities in Palatine if you look at this website. Get a life! PLEASE! I live at Bourbon Square and I think its great!!...improvements do happen. Maybe not as quickley as you want them, but wait for the day you pay the bills on a home and have to put the money out yourself. I guarantee you will not be able to do eveything you want all at once. Welcome to the real world. You blame the management, and specifically, the Manager for these "so-called" issues. I have known her for 3 years now and have found her to be genuinely interested in helping her residents. Her staff is great! Does it ever dawn on anyone thst her hands may be tied? Do you think she has the checkbook? Again, everyone on here only seems to post the negatives. I chose to be the bigger person and say the positives.

Actually...I lived in Bourbon Square apartments..horrible management. When I left they treated me like crap and even made rude comments. You can call it slander and yell at people (kind of like the management) all you want, but with so many people complaining you know its true. Go to Waters Edge Apartments in Lake Zurich...they have extremely kind and organized management that takes care of their customers. See..there are good places out there...people who know how to run apartment buildings.

Would you consider it slander when I say that I have been waiting SEVEN months for a screen door?? I can't open one door unless I want bugs in because the door has been broken since I moved in. Not too mention the screen in my bedroom that has been bent just as long.
