It's All About Management

We moved out of Bourbon Square a couple of months back for several reasons, chiefly, the absolutely horrendous office/management staff. We are professionals that choose to rent due to our busy lifestyles, travel, etc, and expect a modicum of customer service associated with most business transactions. The staff on most occasions were rude, aloof, or simply snotty at all times. I can't think of a single time I walked out of the office without feeling trampled due to the way I was spoken to, and I'm really stretching to think here... There were many times that I would pop into the office when expecting a package where I would literally have to hunt someone down, only to be greeted with a resentful What' The manager, it would appear, is not really at the helm at this place, it s the accountant who happens to have the math skills of a dyslexic chimp, and one of the nastiest personalities I ve ever encountered in an office environment - is actually managing the property. The manager wouldn t know a lease agreement if it gave her a papercut, etc. The accountant has no business sense what-so-ever.
The interesting thing is, it s not Marquette s fault. We moved to a sister property just down the road, Arbor Lakes and love it! The staff is extremely polite, and caring. Every morning, while leaving for work, the maintenance men wave as I drive bye. Our unit is smaller (and less expensive) but there are many amenities that are offered here that Bourbon Square doesn t offer. The property is spotless, and well landscaped. The parking lots are smoothly paved (broke a tie rod on my car driving in the BS lot at walking speed, over one of the sunk man-holes) and ample, and the service techs are truly professionals. The maintenance men we ve encountered have been shining examples of good polite service. The only complaint, the pool closes at 8 something we can live with.
The folks over a Bourbon Square need to go back to business basics and customer service 101 training. They also need to realize that these are people s homes/neighborhoods that they are affecting in a negative manner. One rule of marketing, make someone happy, they ll be sure to tell a couple friends, piss them off they ll tell the whole world. So, Bourbon Square, rest assured, most of Southern Lake and Northern Cook counties are very well aware of your reputation. C mon now, no-one is this incompetent you are maliciously damaging the name of your employer, and negatively affecting the local community. Shape Up! As you may have guessed, I do not recommend this property! It pains me to even reflect and think that in this day, and age, service can mean so little to an organization. Its almost as though it is an inconvenience for them to have people living there! Go check out Arbor Lakes instead!
P.S. I agree in the estimation that it is BS staff writing these positive reviews I'm in no way affiliated, other than residancy, with either of these companies. 8^)
