i could go on and on and on...

1)no noise insulation. ok, the first time i heard my neighbor scream "i love it when you stick it in my _____" it was pretty funny but it gets old. the people watching movies or listening to music at full volume gets tired quick too.
2)Worst of all is my upstairs neighbors. I have a family of 4 that lives above me, in a one bedroom apartment. The kids run back and forth all day and all night because they are too lazy to take them to the courtyard and let them run around until theyre worn out. Being woken up at 2:30 am because their kids are bored is a bad time, especially when it happens 6 times a week. They throw trash off their balcony. Ive written them letters to no effect. Ive written the management company with NO RESULTS WHATSOEVER, the management company wouldnt even come pick up the trash in my yard after 3 complaints about the same incident. Ive called the cops a half-dozen times, and that only got them to shut up for a couple days. When I knock on the ceiling to get them to shut up, the start slamming stuff on the floor knocked 3 drywall boards loose from the ceiling. Its only floorboards between you and your upstairs neighbor, no concrete.. very loud, and the management company couldnt care less, and stopped returning my letters. All I wanted countryside to do was enforce the part of the lease that says you cannot annoy your neighbors. THEY ONLY ENFORCE THE PARTS OF THEIR LEASE THAT MAKE THEM MONEY
3)My dishwasher broke, took them 3 reminders and 10 days to fix it. There was also a piece of siding hanging off the parking garage for 3 months before they fixed it.
4)I had an ant problem too, they came in from my next-door neighbor. Took 2 months to get it taken care of
5)Spiders all over your apartment not that its a big deal but its annoying.
6)UNSAFE, leaky sliding glass doors. Not one of my sliding glass doors sealed properly. They are all racked to the point where you can see daylight where the door and the jamb meet, and the lock doesnt match up. The charley bar doesnt work either, because its not difficult to slip your hand between the two doors and lift the bar out. Ive locked myself out twice and was able to break back into my apartment within 30 seconds each time. The only lock that works is the one on the screen door.
7)my storage locker was broken into, had a $1300 set of golf clubs stolen.
8)The courtyard is nice, but YOUR YARD is ALL DIRT, the bushes are sickly, rain makes your TINY porch muddy. There is no light for your porch. Rain splashes up mud on your windows and outside walls, which gets in the tracks for the glass doors, and is probably why they are all racked so badly.
9)Parking is horrible. Not enough spaces to cover all the apartments, let alone guests.
10)BAD MANAGEMENT COMPANY, HORRIBLE, BAD BAD BAD theyre friendly enough to talk to, but they have no desire to do anything to help you, and you can usually see in their eyes how much they despise having to talk to customers
11)Maintenance staff is friendly, thats the only good thing I can say about countryside
12)Way to expensive for the ghetto, bad service, poorly maintained, obnoxiously loud, hole that it is

edit: forgot a couple things

hot water is non-existant since Alliance took over. i could forgive luke-warm water at 7 am.. but 2 pm' 6 pm' COLD water all the time'!'! and if you do happen to get some hot water, it's gone within two or three minutes

parking lot and sidewalks are always extremely icy.

gunshots, yes i heard them, and i heard my upstairs neighbors snickering after each shot.. not hard to put 2 & 2 together on that one

smell... horrible... the hallways always smell terrible (cats and garbage). my apartment reaked like cigs and cats for 4 months after i moved in.. it still does to some extent almost 2 years later.

yeah, i put my notice not to renew my lease in back in august. got a bill for $950 for January rent... seriously, are they trying to rip people off or are they too lazy to keep track of when people want to leave Countryside'

maybe i'm too picky' i'm a guy in my mid 20's, i went to a party school, and the $250 apartments down there were classier and better maintained than countryside. i'll never again live with alliance, and i'm buying a house asap if i can afford it or not
