I live there now and there is new management, again, since about July or August of 2006. They had people sign there leases, making sure we stayed at our current rent---but now are starting to change everything. They had us sign our leases under false pretenses. We use to be able to access the laundry card machine to add money to the card, anytime. They have now closed the only 2 buildings to access them. You can only access them when the management office is open. So, if you don't remember about your card or the remaining balance on it after hours---you will not be able to add to it. They have removed all the pop machines that were placed in every building. We use to be able to access the one small workout room in only one of the buildings and now they have closed that as well. Only the people in that building have access to that and the laundry card machine and we paid money for the right to use that work out room. We also had a business center that you could access 24 hours a day. That's now gone! The management building use to have a beautiful area furnished to show a perspective tennant that they take care of their apartments, it was an elegant waiting area. That is now being arranged with putting desks in this room. Making it look extremely undesirable. This new management is completely making these once beautiful apartments look and feel like living in the ghetto. It is absolutely horrible!!! If there are positive reviews, they are not from tennants---they have to be from management. I just read one of the positive messages talking about how cheap they are, great and are turning the apartments into condo's. The village of Palatine has not given them consent to do so as of yet, 10/30/06. And countryside is not cheap by any means. It's 1100.00 to start for rent.

I so totally agree with you. I don't know how they can treat paying residents the horrible way they do and they are such liars!
