Runaway Bay is a large property with several styles of apartment : 4 floor mega-buildings, 2 floor/6 unit buildings and townhomes. I assume that the more negative comments have come from people in the megabuildings. My experience in the 2 floor unit has been very pleasant: nice neighbors, quiet, clean. Trash goes to dumpsters outside the building, so there is no mess or odor. I have never had any difficulties with the ethnic diversity nor seen the police deal with any incidents here.

Yes, maintenance can be slow, but remember that they maintain hundreds of apartments. And I agree that having the exercise room and pool facilities hours limited by the lack of a secured second entry to the club house is a large negative.

However, times are changing. Runaway Bay is converting to condominiums. We've been informed that we can renew our current lease for another year, but we can also be given 60 days notice to leave if they have a buyer for our apartment.
