I'm an employee of a retail center that backs up to the Gates of Deer Grove and i'm pleased to say they have made dramatic changes since the company; The Laramar Group, took over the property. The surrounding retail centers have many good things to say about the things they've done such as bringing in all new residents that meet criminal and credit requirements (that wasn't done by the previous company) and they moved out all the bad residents as well as completely renovating the buildings. They have visited the retail centers and given us brochures on what they're doing and the renovations include all new sleek cabinetry, faux-granite countertops, neutral carpet, warm wood laminate flooring in the kitchens, ceramic tile in the baths, designer light fixtures and a brand new appliance package by GE. They are renovating the exteriors of the buildings as well and building a new clubhouse that will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, private theatre, wireless internet cafe/business center, great room and a sparkling swimming pool. The police department and other city officials have positive things to say about them as well so if you are looking for unbiased feedback they are a great resource for new residents. We've found them to be very friendly when they've stopped in and love the new clientele they are bringing to the area. If you ask any of the shop owners next door to them what they think of the property you'll get good responses.
