I just moved in 2 months ago and I can't be happier. I spent many weekends apartment hunting before moving to the burbs and toured at least 20 places. For the money, this is definitely the best deal. The buildings may look dated on the outside, but the apartments themselves are quite beautiful and have a lot of character. I LOVE my kitchen, we have tons of closet space, a brick wall, AC, double sinks in bathroom, large bedrooms, new carpet, new tile in the bathrooms, new lighting fixtures, new cupboards/appliances/countertops, basically everything looks new. I was picking out colors to paint the walls before I moved in but ended up liking the soft color they already picked so much I'm just leaving them. Management has told us the exteriors of the buildings will be remodeled as well once they are done with other improvement projects. Since I've moved in, they have broken ground on a clubhouse/pool, cleaned up the landscaping and resodded parts of the property. All of my maintenance requests upon move-in were done immediately (the maintenance guy is awesome!). This is definitely not one of those management companies that is friendly before you sign the lease and turns into jerks afterwards. I feel very safe here and they are applying to be certified as a crime free property. It's very quiet and all of my neighbors are very nice. Now is probably a good time to get in, too, because I'm sure prices will go up once all the remodeling is done. My only complaint: no garbage disposal. and you need to bring your own microwave (which was true for about half the apts I looked at) Also utilities are pretty low, which was a nice surprise. you can pay your rent/utilities online too. And this is probably the only apartment complex I've seen that has staff in the office every day of the week.
