I'm having problems with my apartment complex (Gates of Deer Grove on Smith St. and Dundee Rd.) in fixing repairs (screens, toilet, window & door locks, thermostat, etc.) and with bugs and them sending out an exterminator during a reasonable amount of time.

I've contacted the property manager and have gotten the name of the district manager but he has yet to return my numerous calls.

My next step is contacting authorities... I would NOT live here... Everyone I talk to is having the same problems.

The district manager will never return your calls. And don't bother calling the "customer service" facility the Chicago office refers you to in Denver. After telling the woman my problem she asked if I talked to the property manager, at which time I informed her that there was no property manager - they were "in between" management. "Well that happens you know!" she replied. She eventually hung up on me and, not surprisingly, I wasn't contacted within the 24-48 hr window. If you're having heating issues, contact the Village. An inspector will come out, young kid, but very knowledgable, knows the code well. After I called them he cited them for not having repairs made and they were subsequently made within hours.
