Worst apartment I have ever lived it

Oh sheesh, where to start. I rented one of the "new" studio apartments for 7 months and it was the worse decision I ever made. It started with water, water, and more water. The apartment used to be part of the laundry room, so there is a drain under the carpet in the bedroom area. The pipes kept overflowing, soaking the bedroom area carpet. After they came in and pulled up the carpet to sanitize it, I was dealing with a TON of ants. Not to mention that the pipes KEPT overflowing - about 3 times the first week I was there. They were nice enough to let me switch to another of the same "new" apartments in another building.
At this second place, though, the trouble kept coming. First, the boiler room had a problem and I had water (yes, more water) in the living room. Again, wet carpet. There were bugs every time I turned around. Ants, Earwigs, spiders (large spiders), earthworms, and some I'd never seen before. Then, the dryer broke and it took three weeks for them to fix it (a brand new dryer, not an old one that didn't have parts available). Then, I found mold in the main closet. After calling them to come take care of it, they came in and cleaned the carpet, but never did anything about the walls. Then, the pipes from the upstairs neighbor started causing mold in the kitchen. When I called them about it, it took them a week to come take a look. They cut a hole it the ceiling to see where the water was coming from. After seeing that it was coming from the pipes from the upstairs neighbor, they left the hole for another 3 days. I had to have a bucket on the floor to catch all the falling water; not to mention what they did cut off the ceiling, it was so covered in mold, it was obvious they didn't get all the moldy drywall. Instead of cutting more to get rid of it, they just left it. The pipes also overflowed at this place, so yet again I had wet carpet in the bedroom area. The bathroom was also a problem with the pipes. The water was coming up from the toilet pipes, so the water seeped in UNDER the tile in the bathroom.
Now, on to the workmanship of this place. I realized that this was a conversion from a laundry room, but everything was crooked. The doors had to have slabs of wood on one side to make them even so they would close. The toilet was off, the mirror was off because it butted up to a wall that was also crooked. The closet doors didn't close right because (you guessed it) the walls and openings were crooked. There was very nice tile in the bathroom, but since the drains overflowed, the white grout was now brownish-grey in the areas that had gotten wet. The fake wood linoleum in the kitchen had an uneven base, so the linoleum had dips and even started ripping in those areas.
The maintenance staff took way too long to fix anything. And they didn't seem to care about the issues and what that meant for the person trying to live there. They also didn't care about what they did in the apartments. During the kitchen incident, not only did they use my step stool and get it full of dust and plaster when they closed the hole, but they put a dent in the fridge and a crack in the linoleum.
The walls were not white, which was a big bonus when I first saw the place. That became an issue, though, when I tried to cover nail wholes from decorating. I had to ask the office staff 4 times to get a tiny bit of paint to cover the spackle. I was once told to call them during the day so they could remember to ask the painter for the paint. After finally getting them to get me the paint, I get it home and it iwas WHITE - not the color of the walls.
So, I moved out as soon as my lease was up and it wasn't soon enough. Oh, but wait, one more thing...they also screwed me out of half my security deposit by charging me $80 for grass damage from move out, even though the maintenance staff drives around with a golf cart and causes all sorts of rut marks. They also charged me for past utilities that they NEVER billed me for when I lived there.
I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

Are that much of a sissy? Hello...we live in the midwest!!! Bugs are everywhere. What do you do if you have to camp outdoors? Grow up or go live in a bubble.

There shouldn't be any insects in apartment that you're paying that much for @ goodtenant2009.
