Not my cup of tea....

The time was nearing when my lease was to expire. At that time, I was living in a two bedroom. Because my roommate and I were going our seperate ways, I was interested in remaining at Village Park but signing a lease for a one bedroom. Although two different apartment books I had picked up at local grocers read $685/month for a one bedroom, the staff at Village Park never quoted me that price. They went as far as to tell me that "at any given time, the apartment books are 2 weeks behind current special prices." What's the point of the book then' Infact, each time I called the office I got a different answer - even sometimes from the same person. For example, I would call and ask "How much for a one bedroom'" (Joe Smith said) "$708/month." Two days later...."How much for a one bedroom' (Joe Smith said) "$710/month" That same day..."How much for a one bedroom'" (Bill Johnson said) "$725/ month" (I realize that prices fluctuate due to specials - but in only two days or even worse...a matter of hours')I was toied with for 2 weeks. Finally I decided I was getting the hell out of the complex altogether!
