I live in 803. It's all right. The maintenance staff is really wonderful, as is the office staff. A bunch of kids from Harper have moved into the buildings across from me in the past 6 months or so, and the noise level at night is obnoxious. Kids play in the parking lot and ride bikes everywhere - even in the entries to the complex. It's bad parenting; not really the fault of the complex. The grounds are usually clean - when they're not, it's usually rectified within a day, as the maintenance crew is always cleaning. They're also fabulous about plowing the lots and sidewalks.
My apartment isn't anything amazing, but it's not terrible. It's the NW suburbs, and things are outrageously expensive anyways. Once again, not the fault of the complex.
The thing I hate the most is that if you want to pay your rent online, there's a charge of (I think) $14 per month. I earn airline miles with my debit card, so I'd love to get credit for that, but I can't justify what would come to a $336 expense for that.
I'm moving back to Texas this coming summer; if that weren't the case, I'd probably renew my lease here.

I agree. The kids are ot of control arond here and pretty rude. I have a handicapped ramp in front of my bldg 903 and they skateboard and hang out right in front of my window. I feel like I have no privacy.

In the past few months it feels like it's gotten WAY more ghetto. The cops are in my lot at LEAST once a week. Even though management sent a letter saying that skateboarding isn't allowed, the kids are still out there. One of them posted a sign saying, "Skateboarding isn't a crime." I was really tempted to put a note on the sign saying, "Yes, but it's a crime if you dart in front of my car and I hit you."
But honestly, the skaters don't bother me half as much as the 5 and 6 year olds who are out on their bikes completely unsupervised.
