I've lived here for nearly three years and I will not be renewing my lease. There are many reasons for this. 1. Location: complex is located off of Dundee, one of the busiest roads in the Chicago area. There is only ONE entrance to the complex and this is usually backed up with traffic entering the car wash on the corner. Complex is located behind a bunch of busineses; lousy views. 3. Complex caters to dog owners. Loud barking dogs and dog crap make for an unpleasant situation.
4. Apartments are poorly designed. Little closet space, no deck or patio. No sound insulation. Utility bills are high because of no weather insulation (gas bill for 1 bedroom averages $100 per month for winter). 5. Rent is high for what you get. 6. Silverfish are common. 7. Snow removal in winter is shoddy.
8. It's not safe at night. Non-resident teenage gangs take over the basketball and tennis courts so residents can't even use them.
Recently, they are converting this place to condos. You don't even get a garage. The thought of BUYING this place is totally preposterous ! My advice to anyone is to save your money and get a REAL house as soon as you can, because here, you are just flushing your money down the toilet. Good luck !
