I posted previously and was very gung-ho about buying into this complex. Luckily for me, things turned out great financially, but a warning to anyone who has a low tolerance for noise -- I could hear both of my neighbors constantly through the tissue-paper thin walls! One had a surround sound TV and no matter how low she kept the volume, the booming bass would always annoy me. Plus her stupid girlfriends came over all the time and I could hear them yapping on their cell phones and giggling like 12 yr olds... anyway... The other neighbors came home every night at around 11pm and I would hear the dinging of their microwave shortly thereafter as they heated up dinner, followed by their conversations in Chinese - had it been in English I'm sure I could have understood every word! The walls are HORRIBLY THIN! Most homes have better soundprooofing INSIDE than these condos have in between units! But I really liked the layout of the place, albeit small, perfect for one person, hence why I bought it in the first place. But after a few months of the noise issues, I was ready to get out. Also, the 50 million speed bumps in the complex are completely stupid and do nothing except break your car. If you do buy here, get a unit near the front and you'll save about 15 bumps every time you come and go! LOL

I ended up selling after six months (bought in Sept 2005, sold in April 2006). Fortunately this was before the real estate market went completely in the dump so I made out ok. I bought a 1BR "townhome" for $105,000 - spent about $7000 remodeling and updating, and sold it for $129,000 - after only six months. Since I liked the layout of the units so much, and the location rocks for shopping and convenience, I was planning to buy another unit and take a chance on getting some quieter neighbors. But the real estate market was beginning to look glim for flipping, so I chose to move back east and buy a more permanent home.

In any case, I would recommend meeting the neighbors before you buy and quiz them on their noise habits! Otherwise you'll end up like me and have to wear headphones to watch your own TV becuase the bass from the neighbor's plasma-surround is interfering! P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
