unsafe

When we first moved in the apartment seemed okay. However, I started to feel very unsafe here. There are always shady people hanging around all hours of the night, banging up and down the stairs, and loitering by the entries. We had police out to our building SEVERAL times, and I believe it was involving drug dealing.
We also found roaches in our apartment in the dishwasher within the first week. When I called management about the roaches, she had the audacity to tell me "I DON'T have roaches... you must have brought them with you." Only after I argued with her, she agreed to have the exterminator come through. After a few visits and more intense extermination in the neighboring empty apt, the roaches were gone. But I found management's attitude about the whole thing sh***y.
We also had water leaking in the living room and bathroom - the wall in the bathroom caved in one spot (a small fist sized hole) due to the dampness. They never fixed that despite repeated calls!! The water was literally DRIPPING onto the carpet from over the patio door. I had to get BOWLS and buckets to catch it, and then put down towels, and still the carpet was soaked there. Repeated calls to management and nothing was done!!!
The wiring in the place is a total mess. The "laundry room" consists of washer and dryer shoved into an electrical closet in the hallway. The wires were hanging out tangled all over some of them touching the dryer. The fuse blew in our apartment 3-4 times in a year when we plugged something like a small lamp or toaster in.
All in all, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
