I've read some of these negative reviews and just shake my head in disbelief. I've lived there from late 2001 to June 2006 and *never* had a major problem. The last office manager I dealt with, -----, was *not* old, *not* hateful, and was a very pleasant person to deal with. When I had an issue, maintenence was prompt in helping to fix it.

I also can't believe some of these stories that Timberbrook is a haven for drugs and other sleazeoid activities. Maybe it was in other buildings, but mine on the whole was pretty quiet and we respected each other's space and privacy. Rooms are nothing spectacular, but they are clean and vermin free and if you know such things like how to clean on a regular basis, it'll stay that way. Except for one mouse that somehow got in from outside and the occasional spider, I never had a problem.

The place is on the older side and yes, it has some cosmetic dings, but at core I found it a nice place to live in a nice safe neighborhood. Some of these people yelping about how horrible Timberbrook is have obviously never lived in South Peoria. Now *there* are some unsafe neighborhoods for you.

Summary: You get what you put into a place. If you're wanting luxury at these prices, of course you're going to be disappointed. On the other hand if you want a decent place to live, are willing to work by the rules, and not be obnoxious to people trying to help you, you'll do much better.
