Worst place ever, had mushrooms growing in living room

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2002
I lived there from 2002-2003 and had nothing but problems. i had mushrooms, yes living things, growing out of my carpet. I had to call three - four times to get someone to come out and all they did was "pick" them. they grew back in two days. apparently it was from prior flooding that they had never repaired properly (new padding and carpet etc). then when we moved out they tried to charge us for cleaning. i had to complain to get the money back. it was my first apartment so i didn't know better. hopefully nothing bad comes from all of the mold i lived with for a year.
