Looks can be deceiving!!!

First, let me start by saying the apartment that they show is beautiful. It is fully furnished and looks great. Then the apartment that you get is a pile of you know what. I requested that I look at the apartment I was getting before I signed the lease. Really the only thing I noticed on my walk through was the carpet. In the master bedroom there was a large dark stain that looked like it surrounded the previous tenant's bed. I asked about it and she told me the carpets had not been cleaned yet. Which my fiancee said was a complete a flat out lie. They had been cleaned a still looked like crap.
THE MOVE IN:
When moving in I realized the the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms looked and smelled like they were from the sixties. I had to spend hours put liners in all of them before I would even think of putting my belongings in them. After that I noticed that when I turned on the refrigerator it smelled like it was on fire. No refrigerator. The freezer in it was actually melted. This took 4 days to replace and $120.00 of food lost. I also noticed that there were no screens in 1 of the 3 windows. I moved in in Dec. so if figured if I told them now it would be resolved by spring. I was wrong. About a month after move-in I realized that the tiles in the shower were seperating from the wall. Still not fixed! I am on the ground level and let me tell you, it is so great to look out the window in your living room and watch a dog leaving you a nice steaming pile. And I'm sure if I could open my windows it would smell even nicer than it looks. Also, having a secure home just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling right' Well a 2 year old could kick in my front door. I complained they fixed it and 2 days later it was back the sameway I found it and still not fixed. Parking is another issue. Don't ever buy more groceries then you can carry in one trip because walking 2 buildings down from yours with them sucks.
YEAH NEW CABINETS!!!
They informed me that my building would be getting new cabinets and vanities. Great because the old ones were just that OLD. So they said they would be in on Monday and for everyone to remove EVERYTING from kitchen cabinets and vanities. So I did. My dining room and two bedrooms were filled with stuff i.e. food and toiletries. They didn't show up until FRIDAY afternoon. The crew they had come in did a piss poor job and left a huge mess. I always thought that a level was a carpenter's best friend. Oh, this crew didn't have a single carpenter on it. Plus, the measurments of the new cabinets were not the same as the ancient ones so I have nice nasty paisley strips of old wallpaper left over. They said they would be there the next week to paint. Well we know how that goes. They painted last week 2 days before they said they would be there, but a month and a half after the cabinets were put in. They got paint everywhere and on my personal belongings.
SPRING HAS SPRUNG:
Now that spring is here it would be so nice to open my windows and let some fresh air in since the mildew smell from the laundry room is invading my space. When the washer drains it sprays the wall right next to the electrical outlet. I don't know about you but I learned at a young age that water and electricity don't mix. It's good to know that when it catches fire my aparment will be the first one to burn. But I can't! I HAVE NO SCREENS!!!!!!! I have complained a total of 6 times now. Management comes up with "Well we will talk to maintence and call you back" NOPE! So I found their management company and they sound just as lazy as the rest of them. All these people care about is getting their rent. The tiles in the bathroom are hanging on for dear life and it smells like sewage when I run water in my bathroom. I'm sure the septic needs pumped but they will wait until it is covering my carpet.
So in closing, to anyone thinking about moving here please please don't. I have only been here since December and I'm ready to go. If you would like to remain sain stay far far away. You will pay a lot more than this place is worth.
If you already live hear and have tried to get their management companies name and number and they refused to give it to you, here it is:

I am so glad that I am not the only one who smells sewage when I run the bathroom sink! (not happy you have it but at least I know im not crazy!) I thought maybe I had accidentally put something down there. I was looking forward to the new cabinets but not so much anymore, especially not after I heard that they let someones pet out and it was lost.

I am the author of this review but can't remember my login info. Since I last left all of you so much more has happened.
Bugs, Bugs, and more Bugs!!!!
In late May we started noticing small brown bugs ( which I latter learned were earwigs) in my apartment. I understand that living in the basement you are bound to run into this. Well when I post the picture you will all see. They were everywhere!!! In my cloths, bed, kitchen, and I even found one in my ------- toothbrush!
IT'S RAINING!!!
I returned home one day to find my fiancee sitting on the couch looking extremely pissed. I then noticed a pot in the middle of the dining room floor catching water. The ceiling was bulged with water and so we called maintenence and they came in about an hour. Paco told me that is was condisation from the nieghbors ac. I don't give a ---- where it is coming from it just needed to stop! He told me that the leak was stopped but he wouldn't return until Monday (this happened on Friday) to fix it. Well Monday rolled around and over the weekend the leak never stopped. So this meant we had to wait until it dried out for them to fix it. We also at this time had black mold in our 2nd bathroom shower, that they "fixed" a month before. Let me make a long story short. They didn't fix ---- and now the toilet from the upstairs apt. is leaking into our bathroom. They lie and act as though they care and they don't. I have spoken with numerous other tenant's and they have the same problems! I would like to persue legal action if anyone has advice or would like to join the fight let me know! There is strength in numbers. Stop being taken for your hard earned money. Please responed. This has gone on long enough and if nothing is done it will continue to happen to others.

I currently live in apt 116 and the mold is terrible in the master bedroom shower and now into the closet. There are cracks in all of the walls and the dishwasher is older than I am. I have also complained about the water leaking from the upstairs bathroom and they "fixed" it. So, with water still leaking down the mold gets worse and worse. I have tried to get out of my lease, but unless I can come up with $1400 I am stuck for another 8 months.
