Seven Oaks
I moved in to Seven Oaks on November 17th, 2007. I had read most of the reviews on Apartment Ratings and could not understand why everyone was so upset. Jennifer, the property manager had been so pleasant to me as well as the rest of her staff, Naomi, Trina and Rob to name a few They worked with me (and my hectic life) to get the best apartment for me.
Before I moved in they showed me and my family the show apartment several times, and put up with my inquisitive parents. Explained the lease agreement in full to me and went over the amenities several times. I am quite needy when it comes to leasing apartments. I have also had my fair share of bad experiences throughout my college career with other properties so this was a great experience for me, and the Seven Oaks staff were excellent. Now that I had graduated and gotten a real job this would be my first real home of my own no roommates, which made me even more of a difficult person to deal with, but everyone handled me with grace and professionalism.
Once move in day finally arrived they settled a few of my qualms on that day in a very timely manner and walked through the apartment with me to find anything that I needed to have fixed, made a list and fixed it within the next week. Yes these apartments are old, and you can tell that when you first see one, do not expect Grade A/Brand New perfect apartments here. Cold air does come in, there are several layers of paint on the walls, the bathtubs/shower doors are old, the water heater does run out of hot water on occasion, but if you were smart you would learn to only pull out the knob halfway and then the hot water never runs out and you get the same water pressure. Everyone has lived in/been to an old house and they all have their problems, but it just adds character.
When I was having problems with my bank my rent was late and they didn t even say anything besides We understand things happen . Yes I paid the late fees, but that s what you have to do when your rent is late. So far I enjoy living here, and I will probably be at Seven Oaks until I can afford my own house. I have not had one bad experience yet. If I ever do I will update my review.

Just to let everyone know as well, I work as a Director of Sales for a local hotel, I am a credible person, I work in a very similar industry and understand that if someone gets upset about one little thing they will find everything else possible to complain about. Don t get me wrong, maybe these other reviewers have credible complaints, but I highly doubt their problems are as severe as they state.

Just wait...you're still new. You'll find out how 7 Oaks really operates soon enough. In the meantime, enjoy your apartment.
