Great Cheaters

When we moved in to Briarwood Terrace apartments, we were quoted of a 6 months lease which we asked for, but after sometime when we got enough time to look into the detail of the lease papers, we found out that we actually signed a 14-month lease. Such a great experience at the very beginning.
Again, when we moved out of Briarwood apartment, instead of getting back the security deposit, it was taken away as as a fine and we were charged some more amount of money as fines. The reason stated was that they got some rusty mark in the carpet near the wall. Till now we DO NOT have any RUSTY furniture or stuff made of iron which might cause a rusty mark on the carpet and that part of our living room was hardly/never used. Also we were outside tha country for 4 months during that entire lease period. And when we back we hardly used to stay in the apartment except in the night. So effectively we stayed there for very little time. It was very hard for us to accept their allegation.
The fun part is that they never do the inspection in front of the tenants on a face to face basis. Such a process would have given us a chance to look at the stain mark etc.(which we failed to notice in the last 14 months).
The events simply shook my trust. They are definitely subtle workers. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
