Briarwood Terrace Apartment
< | >
Briarwood is a good place to live. The apartments are about as new on the inside as you can find in Chicago and it looks as if they put a lot of care into their units. Rent is decent but they pay for your gas heating which saves a ton in the winter. I never run out of hot water and the concrete buildings mean more "soundproofing" than most apartment communities.
I read some of the other reviews...don't listen to them. I find the staff to be friendly but also know they are in the business of making money (hence the rent increases). Every apartment I've ever lived in raised the rent at renewal, I'm guessing it's industry standards. Buy a house and your utility bills and taxes can fluctuate and go up, so why complain'
My only complaint is the shotty snow removal...but I've lived in Chicago my whole life and chose to buy an SUV last time I bought so it doesn't even effect me.

Come one man... these apartments were built in early 1970s...In my world they are old ... really really old. The AC units are so old that they generate more dust than cold air. I had to buy my own. If not for the lease, I would have moved out within a month.
