Great Oaks and Beacon Hill are pretty decent if you're looking for a first apartment. The rent is pretty cheap, compared to a lot of other places. Now that I've had other rental experiences, I don't think I would ever want to live there again. It wasn't totally horrible, but they didn't really keep up with things, didn't seem to care if you had a maintenance issue. One time our a/c unit was not working and we called for maintenance to come and look at it. They didn't show up for over 48 hours, and when they did, they just walked in without knocking or anything. My boyfriend who worked nights was asleep in the bedroom, and it surprised the hell out of him to find some stranger in our apartment.

It is cheap and damn cheap apartments. Maintance is not a word they understand, loud aparatments. Great oaks is so dirty. All what they care for is to find a way to rip you off and charge you more money. The sink tap was not working i asked for maintance they came after 3 weeks and guess what happend? my dvd player went missing... i live by myself, i dont have friends come over at my place. And they did nt give a damn when i complained about the lost dvd player.

This place is run by slumlords who will use legal loopholes and an army of lawyers to screw you out of every dime they can. They are owned by Edward Rose and Sons which can be found on the web. I have already received a settlement from these jokers (out of court because they had no case) because my wife was injured due to their negligence. But ever since they have hounded and harrassed me and every month since I have received a note on my door telling me I owe them for some previously undislosed fee which they can't give me a straight answer as to what it is for. If you refuse to pay them without an itemized list of the fees they simply report you to a lawyer and you get their A$$ hole processor showing up at your door in the middle of the night banging on the door making noises and calling you names in order to goad you into violence, (this jerk off actually stood outside my apartment saying "cmon a$$ hole open the door" when I came out to knock his block off he simply threw the summons at me and ran like a coward)If you rent here you will be dealing with them for years after you move out. I am just about to move and I am just gonna sneak away in the night and not give them an address because F U C K T H E M!!!!!!!! They are gonna keep my deposit anyway and probably try to trump up some damages to get even more money. I am just gonna cut my losses!!!
