I moved out of Beacon Hill 2002, but when I stumbled across this website, I thought that I should give my opinion. So, here it goes. Overall, Beacon Hill is not a bad place to live for $400/ month. But you do get what you pay for. When we moved in, the weather stripping on our door was coming off and the door had to be locked in order to stay closed, contacted maintenence several times over a year and a half and never was fixed. My neighbors car was broken into on multiple occasions, this was probably due to poor lighting in the parking lots (the lights were broken half the time.) The cable is ridiculously priced for what you get, and half the time the stations didn't come in clearly. The "secured building" is a joke, that door never was shut all the way and when it was, all you had to do was push on it to get it to open. The one time the door actually was shut and locked the lock was broken and my key would not work, had to go around the back of the dark building in the middle of the night to get in, called maintenence and it took them 3 days to fix it. After we moved out, there was a guy held up at gunpoint right in front of the building that I lived in, during broad daylight. A friend of mine also lived in this complex and there was an argument between a few people in front of her building involving people waiving guns around. So, if you want to feel safe, Beacon Hill is not the place for you.

The only thing I disagree with is that its not a bad place to be!!!
