Hampton Meadows bills itself as luxury living. It may have been the case when these units were built years ago, but that is certainly no longer the case. The sound deadening is minimal, and maintenance is hit or miss.
They do have spacious floor plans, with relatively new appliances. I assume some of them have newer carpet- that is not what I have in my place.
The security is not particularly impressive. I was told that open garages were a no-no and that they would contact the lessee to fix the problem, but that has not been the case in my four unit building. At all hours of the day a garage is wide open, sometimes with a car, most times not. This renders buzzers and security doors absolutely irrelevant.
The grounds are very nice, but it seems to be a case of a pretty front.
The workout 'facility' is a joke, though the pool looks nice.
The front office people are actually quite nice if fairly condescending at times, they were flexible and helped me out with my lease.
My biggest gripe was the individual that showed me the apartment (no longer working here she was a temp), she that blatantly lied to me about apartment scarcity. I do not know if this is some sort of unwritten rule in the rental business, but I was led to believe that there were numerous others looking at my place and it was the only one available. I took that bait embarassingly enough. It was quite obvious almost immediately that this was not the case, and more than quite a few were available, and im sure still are.
That was very disappointing.
Ultimately, for the features and the square footage they offer, in comparison to all the development that has been happening here the last few years, they are quite overpriced and outdated. A close friend has a 2 bedroom 2 bath about 2 miles from here and pays $150 less, with the same utilities.
I wish I had looked around a lot more.
