Nice rent. Nice convenient entrance. Lousy bugs/location/elements...

I've been at highpoint for almost a year now. I live in a unit on the first floor in the more section 8ish part of Highpoint. For the first few months everything seemed great, but then some questionable elements moved in across the parking lot and there were lots of fights, police, and incidence. Eventually they were evicted (kudos to management).
For the rent, these 2 bedrooms are great for 1 or 2 people. The room sizes are decent, and the appliances are modern and well maintained. I found managegement very helpful and friendly, whether it was for packages or reporting a problem. They would promptly send someone over to fix things, and the accountant was very nice in handling re-leasing/helping me break my lease.
The biggest problem I found, other than some unsavory characters in the neighborhood, were bugs. Rollypoly/pill bugs were all over the place. So were wolf spiders. I had a first floor apartment and so I got lots of bugs. Get the second floor. Its a little more work, but you only get bugs in the foyer.
I would rent from them again, especially if it was closer to a more centralized area (oakbrook/downers grove/etc).
