From the outside everthing looks great, but looks can be very deceiving. My boyfriend and I actually found this place on accident. We were driving by after looking at numerous places and the places we were looking before here were rundown and boring so we saw Highpoint and it was like a breath of fresh air. Yeah we were wrong. We came in to view the grounds, about an hour and a half before they closed and we actually sat for 20 minutes before anyone asked if we had been helped, and that is just the start of it. Before we even looked at a unit the staff wanted us to sign a credit application and do a background check after "they said we were approved" supposidly, which took another half an hour, we looked at the unit and found that it was beautiful. You have your own seperate entrance, gas stoves, ice maker, washer and dryer, etc... Well it was about a month before we were going to move in and after purchasing furniture and other things we were calling there to ask a few questions and everytime we asked for our leasing agent she supposidly was not there or in a meeting and we always talked to someone that was rude to us. We sent numerous e-mails with no replies and about 3 days before we were supposed to move the director informed us we were not approved and that they had leased our place to someone else and if we even wanted to go through and apply again we would need to put up another deposit and application fee. We were totally shocked because they said we were approved and of course they deposited the initial deposit so we are out of that money and have not gotten back to us as to when they were going to reimburse us. We did our homework and went back on several occasions to see how the property and other tenants were and saw that there were gangs of kids hanging out, grafity all over and scurvey looking people walking around. So if you are thinking about moving into here and you like to deal with rude, unprofessional, sheisty, and lazy people I would seriously consider it. From the other things that people have said about Highpoint I would believe them before anything that the staff would say.
