I never rented from a place before that told you they would fix things & then didn't. I had a broken screen/storm door for the entire 15 months I was there. One maintenance guy tried fixing the situation by adding bits & pieces of metal & foam to get the door to seal. It looked terrible.
The wind came through the warped door & could put out a match in the winter. My gas bill was high because of the drafty poorly-fit doors.
I was told when I called about the apartment that it was "handicapped accessible". The manager later told me that she never said that to me (she said it to me & my sister, who found the apartment for me). I was told that they were "accomodating" me as a handicapped individual by putting one grab bar up in the bathroom. When the carpet came away from the wall because of the wheels on my wheel chair, I was informed that they were never a "handicapped accessible apartment" & that I would be responsible for any repairs. That's fine, but then they charged $325.00 from my security deposit for a worn area in the carpet.
If you want to live somewhere where they don't fix things as promised, or tell you they will fix things & then they never get accomplished (I asked for a new air filter for the furnace 3 times & never got one), then this is the place for you. But, if you want somewhere that is maintained as it should be, isn't as drafty as a freezer & has management who gives a damn about the place, look somewhere else.
