Isn't it odd how all the positive reviews sound exactly the same' Well, it not really so odd when it's common knowledge that all the positive reviews written on this site are authored by the lowlifes who work at Chatham Hills.

I doubt words alone can describe how horrid this place is. You get the whole spectrum of bull**** when you rent from these scumbags. Repairmen will be in you apartments, hanging out during the day while you're not home. Not fixing anything, just going through your stuff or sleeping on your couch. I actually caught one guy sleeping in my apartment two times. The con-artists who run this place are second to none in thievery and bald-faced lying. The scariest part is that I'm not making any of this up. It's all true.

The administration people are apparently under orders to do anything they can think of to screw you out of as much money as humanly possible. Including calling you before your lease is up, offering you reduced monthly rent if you agree to stay, only to renege when you come down to sigh the paper work. The same person you spoke to on the phone yesterday will look you in the eye and tell you your rent will in fact be increasing. If you want to terminate you have to pay 2 months rent, at the increased rate, because you failed to fill out the paper work that provides the admin office with 6 weeks notice. Basically, they lie to you, get you in a corner, and then steal from you using a paperwork system set up for no other reason than screw you out of money. Telling them to their face two months in advance that you'll be moving out doesn't count and they won't give you the form to fill out until after it's too late. They use a "surprise you already owe an extra two months of rent" technique all the time. You literally have to demand the form from them, repeatedly, to ever receive it. They'll try the same thing on you as many times as possible too. If someone working there tells you, like they did me, "don't worry about it, your intent to vacate has been noted" don't believe them. They only say that to try and screw you over and over again for not filling out the damn form. The level of scumbaggery at this place is breathtaking. The white trash that works here blows the scummiest used car salesman in the world out of the water.

At the increased rate, x2, we're taking about well over a thousand dollars of theft via underhanded, paperwork-based thievery. They know exactly what they are doing too.

That's just the beginning. I honesty could go on and on about repairs not being made to heating units for weeks in the middle of winter, the insane number of registered sex offenders who live there, how many people have been attacked and robed by their fellow tents..etc. Don't even think about talking to the owner. The administration people would rather die than let you tell the owner what's really going on.

There are so many nice and affordable places in Springfield that you'd have to be insane to live in this hell hole. After I moved out, I found a small house with 2 bedrooms, 1 baths, a fenced in yard and a full basement for $50 more a month than what they charge at CH. I tell you with all honesty, if you move into this place, it will be the worst decision of your life. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

I agree with everything that halcyonus says above. I witnessed it myself when I lived there. Customer service is very bad at Chatham Hills. Every time I was in the office I had to listen to one of the managers or staff have a public argument with a tenant. In the two years I was there I did not talk to one happy tenant. It has to be the office staff and their friends making the positive posts.
