The people who have previously left reviews on here seem to be the ones that keep Fox Run from being a better community than what it is. I'll be honest, Fox Run is not Buckingham Palace by any stretch of the imagination, but it more than adequately served my needs. I am not a resident that had poor credit or had a car that sat in the parking lot that didn't run. I have a credit rating of almost 800, but I was in grad school this past year finished up a non-paid internship so I needed somewhere to live that was cheap and close to everything. I found that place in Fox Run. There are no oak cabinets or new appliances here, but everything that is here works. Is it a little inconvenient to not have a dishwasher and to have to use common laundry' Sure it is! But am I willing to pay $400 more a month just to not be lazy' No, not really. The staff here are great...very professional and willing to help you out if you are respectful and professional to them also. The maintenance staff go above and beyond their call of duty and are the best I've experienced in 7 years of apartment living. The apartment is HUGE and within a 2-3 minute drive of everything you could possibly need. The problem here....THE PEOPLE!! I understand that Fox Run rents to those with "less than perfect" credit, but obviously instead of these people seeing that as an opportunity to improve their standing, they trash the place and cause problems for the rental staff. In every apartment I've lived in, I've heard noise from the other apartments. It's inevitable whether you live on the 1st or 2nd floor or you live in a luxury complex or a dump. However, I've never seen people have a total lack of respect for the place that many call "home" as the residents here do. I am obviously not talking about everyone, but a few very annoying people can ruin it for many. Blasting movies at all hours of the night and morning, smoking in all the common areas, dropping dog feces on the stairs and leaving it there, smoking marijuana, screaming at the top of their lungs, and partying...you name it, these people do it. It's been tolerable enough for the past year that I would still recommend people to move here, but if people just had a simple change in mentality, this would be a great place to live. Saint Charles is a wonderful, upscale community and I am glad to have resided here when I did. Oh..and that comment made in 2006 about a shooting...let me clear that up. Either that person wrote a review 3 years after they lived here, or they like fiction stories. There was no shooting here in 2006. There was one in 2003, but from what I know of this area and this building in particular, there has been a total revamp of management and facilities to make this a more desirable neighborhood. So, to sum it up, the apartment, complex, and staff are good at Fox Run. The residents are what could use improving, and that has to be a change people make within themselves to be respectful of their things and others' also.

hey- thanks for the review. i fyou could give me more information that wouuld be great. some of these reviews seem so negative and i can't seem to find much reliable information about the place. we looked at a loft in the building that was right next to the rental office on the northwest side- closer to the randall/64 intersection. it would help me so much if you could respond. thanks anyway!

The reviews are negative, because it's a bad place to live. 99% of the reviews on here are that way for a reason. When I lived at Fox Run, I was a Family Education Coordinator and my fiance was in law school. Hardly terrible clients! We had our apartment broken into, tires slashed, and our security deposit held back fraudulently. Luckily, because my husband was in law school, he was able to get it back. This apartment is terrible. :( It's section 8 and has the problems that go along with section 8 housing.

A bad credit score does not an idiot make. Hopefully the new management will focas more on criminal background checks and not just credit history. There are a lot of young morons living here that have no regard whatsoever for their own children let alone their neighbors. The previous management just wanted the rent money ... not satisfied tenants.
