I moved back here after living out of state because I knew how the complex was handled and maintained and it was a safe place to live. You have a nice, cozy home on wooded property - unheard of for most complexes. Because there are 8 units to a building, it feels more relaxing. The staff does a good job, I have nice neighbors and we don't have noisy or party-crazy people here. For me, this is better than owning a home with all the worries of maintenance, taxes, etc. and I can have friendly people take care of things that need repairs. Of course, being on the river, you get animals and some bugs, but you have that anywhere and the area more than pays for what some might think 'inconvenient'. We get to garden if we want - it's just the best.
