As a native of Saint Charles, there are definitely worse places to live. Wessel Court is a good value for the money, with a nice clubhouse and pool, the maintainence is usually overworked but they do get the job done...although usually at their own pace. The grounds are well kept, but parking can sometimes be a bit tight. There are garages for an extra monthly rate, but they're well worth it and safe. I'd make sure to have maintainence check the front apartment door at move in as some seem to not latch properly at times...but not allways.
There is one Six Unit Building which has been a bit of a noice problem as five out of the six apartments are rented by very boisterous "Twenty-something" males who tend to party to all hours..and it's not just weekends. They've been caught shooting off fireworks in the middle of the night, have set minor fires by dumping their charcoal on dry mulch and have been escorted out of the pool after mid-night while skinny dipping. Management has yet to evict these tenents. (Heavens knows why')
But most neighbors are very friendly and mostly quiet.

Rhonda does a lot to make the complex more of a community by holding events and parties for residents to get to mingle and know each other. They hold a Christmas party and Easter Egg hunts for the kids and have had several cook-outs and Direct Marketing Parties. (Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Homemade Simple...etc)

But I'll let anyone who checks out their website know right now that the pic of the "livingroom" they have up is NOT a livingroom at all...it's the downstairs lounge of the newly renovated clubhouse/office. Which is why there's a strange overhang noticible in the upper righthand side of the pic.


I moved out just about three weeks ago and already received my deposit refund check. I was very pleased to even have received the deposit in full, but we were good renters and didn't destroy any part of the property, plus we were good neighbors.

A bonus to add. When we were moving out we found we weren't able to get all our belongings in one trip so we asked Rhonda if we could rent the garage seperately for an extra month. This wasn't a problem at all and we found we were able to return only two weeks later to retreive the rest of our belongings. Everything went very smoothly.
I can't say enough about Rhonda and her going out of her way to make sure our move out was as smooth as our move-in. I hope these reviews are forwarded to management as we really had a very good experience living at Wessel Court.
