Pricey but nice

I lived in this community for over two years and mostly enjoyed it. My apartment was beautiful and the spatial arrangement was basically ideal for me. The large, flowing plan accomodates oversized furniture nicely and the closets and bathrooms are large. I appreciated having a washer and dryer included in the rent. My apartment was bright and airy and I never heard any other neighbors if the windows were closed. However, you pay for these priveleges. My rent increased in $50 increments with each renewal, and the final renewal notice I received from the office bumped my rent by $130 a month. When a one bedroom in WARRENVILLE costs over $1,000 per month, something is wrong. I don't care if they opened a SuperTarget and Jamba Juice nearby or not...it isn't Lincoln Park. And when you try to work with the office staff on maintaining your rates (within reason), their reaction is "oh well, try to do better somewhere else". The staff leaves much to be desired - it is a revolving door office and they all remind me of incompetent sorority chicks selling me a line of bull and acting like their jobs are REALLY IMPORTANT and residents are lucky to live there. The maintenance staff was good though. And you pay a deposit on a gate key that you never use - the gates were down once the whole time I lived there. But that was a plus too - people can drop in on you without jumping through hurdles and you don't have to buzz in the pizza delivery guy. On the whole, I enjoyed my time there and I hated to leave but I just couldn't justify the expense anymore.
